DAY 1 – AUCKLAND-WELLINGTON
Travel south from Auckland via the Waikato, Taupo, and Central North Island. Passing through the biggest lake in NZ, amazing farmlands, and the Desert Road until we reach the most southern capital of the world Wellington.
DAY 2 – FREE DAY WELLINGTON
Time to explore the capital city of New Zealand. Visit the Te Papa Museum (free entrance), government buildings, the waterfront, and ride the cable car to the botanic gardens for panoramic views of the city (entrance fee applies).
DAY 3 – WELLINGTON-PICTON-KAIKOURA
Take the scenic ferry ride to Picton (included) early in the morning. After Picton, we drive down to Kaikoura where you can do whale watching, swim with dolphins or seals. (optional activities)
DAY 4 – KAIKOURA-TEKAPO
Today we drive down to Lake Tekapo, where you will be relaxing in a hot water spa (optional activity) upon arrival. Get ready for the stargazing at night time (if skies are clear).
DAY 5 – TEKAPO-QUEENSTOWN
As we head down to Queenstown, you will be able to see the brilliant turquoise Lake Pukaki with Mt Cook on the background and the stunning views of Lindis Pass.
DAY 6 – FREE DAY QUEENSTOWN
Test your limits in the adrenaline capital of the world with these optional activities: bungee jump, skydiving, jet boating, paragliding, canyon swing, rafting, and the luge.
DAY 7 – MILFORD SOUND
Today you can go on a day tour to the fiords of Milford Sound, one of the world’s top tourist attractions considered the eighth wonder of the world. Lord of the Rings scenery wherever you look. (optional activities)
DAY 8 – FREE DAY QUEENSTOWN
One free day in Queenstown is never enough, so enjoy the second one to do all the activities you were not able to do on the first day, enjoy the city and also visit Arrowtown (included).
DAY 9 – QUEENSTOWN-WANAKA
Late in the morning, we will make our journey to the lakeside resort town of Wanaka driving through the picturesque Crown Range Rd, where you will be able to relax by the lake, explore the interesting Puzzling World, or catch a movie at Paradiso Cinema which is simply the coolest cinema in NZ. (optional activities)
DAY 10 – WANAKA – FRANZ JOSEF
We leave early to the breathtaking West Coast stopping at the crystal clear Blue Pools and arriving at the famous glacier in Franz Josef for a walk to see all the ice (included).
DAY 11 – FRANZ JOSEF – PUNAKAIKI – KAITERITERI
After breakfast, enjoy the optional helicopter flight over the glacier and the snow landing. After that, we make our way north to Kaiteriteri Beach stopping at the amazing Pancake Rocks and blowholes.
DAY 12 – FREE DAY KAITERITERI
Today we will spend all day enjoying the scenic beaches of the Abel Tasman National Park where you can go for kayaking (optional) or swimming.
DAY 13 – KAITERITERI – WELLINGTON
We drive north to Picton and travel through one of New Zealand’s most famous roads, Queens Charlotte Drive, with gorgeous sceneries all throughout. We will arrive in Picton where we take the ferry back to Wellington (included).
DAY 14 – WELLINGTON – NEW PLYMOUTH
Late in the morning, we will drive to the NEW PLYMOUTH where we will visit the most beautiful mountain on the North Island (Mt Taranaki), Stay in this awesome town tonight.
DAY 15 – NEW PLYMOUTH – AUCKLAND
We will spend our last day touring around the area, an amazing driving all the way to Auckland with quite a few stops. Just before arriving, you’ll have an optional stop at the Waitomo Glowworms Caves (optional). Arrive in Auckland around 6 pm.
